So, let me know how will you #getfitlikethat in 2016!

Will you join a fun sports league? Try snowboarding? Or will you take time to go for a walk every single day no matter what?

I plan to #GetFitLikeThat in 2016 by becoming a faster runner so there will be a lot of track workouts in my future! And I want to host more classes that are open to the public and possibly stream workouts to reach even more people! I’m so ready to take on 2016!

Whatever your plans, leave a comment below or post a pic on social media (I’m @getfitlikethat) with the hashtag #GetFitLikeThat so I can find you! Let’s rock these 2016 goals!

Oh and of course, if you in the D.C. area, you can #getfitlikethat with me and join me at A.M. LiFT starting in January! Find out more here. You can also find lots of workout ideas here!

Until next time,

Keep it moving!

Woohoo! I plan on getting a new marathon PR this year and a bunch of new lifting PRs. Stronger, faster, fitter 2016!

  2. January 1, 2016

I want to run another half marathon this year. I missed out on my October race because of an injury. So for 2016, I’d like to get to a spring/summer half without an injury and feeling great.

Sounds awesome! I hope that injury is long gone now, and maybe you even get a PR in 2016! I’ll be following along on your blog for updates! 🙂

I worked a lot on speed last year, and let me tell you it was fun AND rewarding! This year is all about having fun.

There may be some speed tho…

    Happy New Year!

What did you do to improve your speed? I really want to knock my half marathon time down to 8:30. My last half was 9:30 but lately I’ve been averaging at 10 min miles. :-/

      (Oh and Happy New Year!)

My coach has me doing strength training, focusing on the glutes. She also had me do speedwork for my marathon training. Helped a ton.

Since I’m already half way though marathon training, my focus is going to be on diet. I already eat well, but I’d like to eat like an athlete more to help me reach my BQ dreams!

Nice! I actually really want to continue to refine my diet as well. I’ve gotten much better over the past year, but more tweaks are definitely a must! Good luck and have a great year!

    Happy New Year!

I’m going to continue running and doing my body circuit classes. I’m also going to try to get in more yoga and stand up paddle boarding. Hopefully, it will all work out.

I haven’t quite figured out my goals for this year yet. My fitness goals are being tweaked and I’m definitely still in the process of figuring that out! I wish I could join you for a class but getting to DC in the morning is tough for me with my two little guys and school drop offs sadly 🙁 I’m sure the AM Lift will work out awesome for you!! Happy New Year!

Yea running faster is all I have for now, but I’m sure I’ll have new goals as the year carries on! And thank you so much for even considering coming out, I appreciate the well wishes!! Fingers crossed! 🙂

I’m sure those track workouts will help you become a faster runner. My fitness focus for now is to slowly recover from giving birth last week and to get back into a fitness routine. I’m sure I’ll eventually set concrete fitness goals, but for now I want to focus on taking things one day at a time.
